CONNECTIONS
- Connect the device the device to the power grid using the included power supply. This charges the built-in lithium battery, The indicator LED ② indicates the charging process.
- Turn on the device on using the main switch ①.
- Use outputs ⑤ and suitable power supply cables to connect effects pedals or similar devices that require 9V=--= of supply voltage at a maximum of 0.3 mA or a maximum of 0.5 A.
- Use output ⑥ and suitable power supply cables to connect effects pedals or similar devices that require 9V---,12V=-- or 18 V of supply voltage at a maximum of 0.25 A, 0375 A or 0.5 A. Move the corresponding switch into the position for the required voltage
- Use output ⑥ and suitable power supply cables to connect effects pedals or similar devices that require 9V---,12 V---- or 18 V of supply voltage at a maxi- mum of 1 A, 1.5 A or 2 A. Move the corresponding switch into the position for the required voltage.
- Each output that is ready for operation is indicated by an LED that lights up green. lf an overload of one output causes it to be switched off, the LED lights up red. in that case, disconnect the relevant pedal from the device. Normal voltage provision is restored after approx.2 seconds.
- To turn off the device, press the main switch ①.

❓Q1: Why did my power supply suddenly shut off even though it still showed around 30% battery remaining?
A:
This occurs when the output power of the battery becomes insufficient to meet the total power demand of the connected devices. As the load increases, the output voltage may drop below the protection threshold set by the battery management system (BMS), causing the unit to shut down automatically to prevent damage.
This is more likely to happen when battery capacity drops below 50%, especially when powering high-current devices. We strongly recommend maintaining charge levels above 50% for optimal performance.
❓Q2: Can I use the power supply immediately after unboxing?
A:
No. It is highly recommended to fully charge the battery before first use. The battery may not be fully charged upon shipment due to transportation safety protocols. Using the unit without charging may result in premature shutdown or reduced performance due to inaccurate capacity readings (“false full”).
❓Q3: Is the battery’s discharge performance stable throughout the entire charge cycle?
A:
No. Lithium-ion batteries exhibit non-linear discharge characteristics. When the battery is near full capacity, it can deliver higher and more stable power. As the charge drops below 50%, the discharge capacity and stability decrease, particularly when powering high-draw pedals or devices. At low capacity, the voltage may fall rapidly and trigger undervoltage protection.
❓Q4: How do I calculate the estimated runtime of the UR series power supply?
A:
Use the following formula:
Estimated Runtime (hours) = Battery Capacity (Wh) ÷ Total Power Consumption (W)
For example:
If using a UR-2000 (72Wh total capacity) with devices consuming 14W:
72 ÷ 14 = approx. 5.1 hours of theoretical runtime
Note: Actual runtime may vary depending on usage conditions, temperature, and device behavior.
❓Q5: Does the UR series support simultaneous charging and discharging?
A:
Some UR series models support pass-through charging. However, we do not recommend prolonged simultaneous charging and discharging, as this may affect battery life and thermal performance. For stationary or prolonged setups, consider using an AC power supply.
❓Q6: The battery indicator LEDs still show 20–30%, but my device powered off. Why?
A:
The LED indicators provide an approximate estimate of remaining charge. Due to the non-linear nature of battery discharge, especially under heavy load, the voltage may drop below the protection threshold before the indicator reaches zero. Always monitor performance under load and recharge when the battery reaches 50% to avoid sudden shutdowns.
